Racing Through A 911 GT3RS
Of course it rained during Seattle's biggest car culture event. Like true enthustists, we didn't let that stop us from enjoying the chance to get the PNW's best cars and owners together at Avantsfest 2026. Hosted by Avants, the Seattle-based membership program for car enthusiasts founded in 2016 which was built around the motto "Drive Everything.". With more than 5,000 members, Avants has become the marque car club for Seattle and the PNW.
We always enjoy events and partnerships with Avants, so we were stoked to get the chance to be apart of the show and wanted to do something a little bit different than just having a car on display or hand out the typical boring promotional material. Which lead us to team up with Superhighway 71.
So many of us first fell in love with cars through die-cast models like Hot Wheels. This was the perfect opportunity to bring that whimsy back and collectively have some fun with the first kind of 'racing' that we all did. Superhighway 71 took the chance to build a track that gave everyone a chance to compete as a time trial, racing our Porsche Hot Wheel (or any of their own personal cars) up, over and through a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Using a digital timing clock, everyone was able to log their time and be apart of the day-long competition.
The rain rolled in and added a touch of chaos to the racing, with multiple cars spinning off skyward - just like a real track day, but with way lower consequences. It was our goal to bring smiles and that little bit of that extra fun that to an already epic event with Avants.
